How Does a Progressive Cavity Pump Work?
A progressive cavity pump operates through the eccentric rotation of a single-helix metal rotor inside a double-helix elastomer stator.
This rotation creates a series of sealed cavities that progress continuously from the suction side to the discharge side as the rotor turns.
The pump’s flow rate and dosing accuracy are directly determined by the geometric profiles of the rotor and stator, the physical volume of the cavities, and the rotational speed of the drive gearbox.
