Drum Pump
Vertical progressive-cavity drum pump for controlled, low-pulsation drum and container emptying.
How Does a Progressive Cavity Type Drum Pump Work?
The progressive cavity vertical drum pump is inserted vertically into the drum or container opening, so that the pump inlet is positioned directly in the product.
The pump works on the progressive cavity principle in which a single helix metal rotor turns eccentrically inside a double helix elastomer stator. As the rotor is turned, a number of sealed cavities are formed between the rotor and the stator.
These cavities are always moving from the suction/inlet side to the discharge side, smoothly discharging the product at a controlled flow rate without any pulsation.
What Are the Key Benefits of Progressive Cavity Drum Pumps?
Handles a wide range of viscosities
Low pulsation
Ideal for shear-sensitive media
Minimizes residual product waste
Easy to handle and operate
Faster and more efficient drum emptying and product transfer
